I had dinner and sat down to watch Girls, when I had a sudden urge to eat. I could feel my teeth grit, wanting to chew something. I remembered reading advice to distract myself with a food-incompatible activity, something you can't eat while doing this. I also thought of an idea to view my goals every day that I had seen on Pinterest. I found scrapbook paper and began cutting shapes. A few minutes later, the desire to eat mindlessly subsided. Once I stuck these goals on my wall, I felt stronger than ever.
Showcase your goals. Make them public. Don't back down. Take it one step, one bite, one decision at a time.
